Coordinating Travel and Rooms

SHAFR 2014 will be at the Hyatt Regency and Lexington Convention Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Please use the space below to coordinate room-sharing and travel arrangements.

Blue Grass Airport (LEX) is currently serviced by Allegiant, American, Delta, United, and US Air. There may be more flight options through the Louisville airport (SDF) or Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky (CVG). Southwest flies in and out of Louisville, and Air Canada flies in and out of Cincinnati, for example. These are both about an hour and a half by car from Lexington, but we encourage you to use this space to coordinate travel and ride-sharing arrangements.

SHAFR is providing this space to be used for messages related to the conference. This service is designed to facilitate the arrangement of rides, lodging, and other logistics. It is not intended as a discussion board or for messages unrelated to the conference. SHAFR is not responsible for the content of messages or for the misuse of any private information posted in a message.

Please see the conference website for more details about travel into Lexington or hotel reservations.

Post in the comments below if you are looking to share a ride or a room during the conference. You can also use twitter #SHAFRrooms or #SHAFR2014, and we will re-tweet.

  2. If you fly into Cincinnati and don't have a car, Megabus does have routes from downtown Cincinnati to Lexington, though only 2x daily: http://us.megabus.com/Default.aspx.

  3. Cornett's Limousine Service provides shuttle service from CVG to Lexington at about $165. Call then ahead at 859-967-6195. Coordinate with fellow travelers and save!

  4. Greetings! I'd be interested in sharing a room Thursday and Friday night. Will probably drive down from D.C.
